This is a rare find. Gorgeous old opal stones set in stelring silver with a thin wrapping band. Marked "Nel J" on the inside.
The name opal is thought to be derived from the Sanskrit upala, meaning "precious stone," and later the Greek derivative "Opallios," meaning "to see a change of color".
All of our vintage items are cleaned by hand with a polishing cloth. Our aim is to clean, but not to look new. The markings and wear you see adds to the value to this vintage piece.
Opal’s symbolic meaning is connected to hope, purity and truth.
This is a vintage previously owned cuff. Therefore, light wear can be expected.
.925 silver. This is a small, thin bracelet, only 1/4" wide at the front and 1/8" wide at the sides. It is about 2 1/4" across at the widest part, measuring to the outsides. The model wears a size 6'' bracelet and this fits her perfectly.
